Chattanooga Summer Engagement Session

This downtown Chattanooga engagement session was the perfect backdrop for these two! Nick and Emmy met at work in downtown Chattanooga. Their relationship started off as great friends, but one day they finally took a risk at more than just friends. Emmy mentioned that she knew Nick loved baseball and she suggested the go to a Lookouts game together. Nick then took the plans into his own hands and planned their official first date.

Fastforward, Nick PROPOSES! After asking permission for Emmy’s hand he made elaborate plans to propose to Emmy at a cabin nestled in the Smoky Mountains. Emmy admitted that she KNEW the proposal was coming on that trip. She was counting down the days! Nick decided to surprise her because he couldn’t wait ANY longer. He called up his mom and told her he was coming by to pick up the hidden engagement ring. Later that night Nick surprised Emmy in her kitchen. They looked at each other and laughed as they told me the proposal story. She said she was in her PJs and cooking green beans when Nick popped the question. Those green beans were inedible– they burned! Emmy was so so surprised! I just love how organic and simple this memorably and special story is to them. PJs and burned green beans. ❤️

Emmy + Nick, you guys are perfect for each other. I love watching how Nick makes you laugh and how easy it is to have great conversations with you two. I’m so excited to capture your intimate wedding ceremony later this summer. COVID is shaking up so much of the world, but it won’t shake your love!
